ReplyDeleteJust thought I'd let you know now that Jessie's settled in that I think she adds a great extra dimension to the show. She's funny, insightful and just plain awesome!
In this episode I really appreciated her bringing up "Goosebumps". That took me right back to being 12 yearsold when those books were all the rage at school. I also remember watching the show though I must admit I preferred "Are You Afraid of The Dark?". That episode with clown in the fun-house scared the hell out of me. Although both shows were aimed at kids I think they capture that special spooky-but-fun aspect of horror that I really enjoy. Great stuff to watch around the Halloween season for sure!
Maybe you guys should do a full episode on those older horror TV shows sometime. "Tales from the Darkside", "Night Gallery", "Tales from the Crypt", "Darkroom" as well the above mentioned shows. So much great stuff. Also in keeping with the topic of Australian productions I wonder if any of you ever watched an Aussie show called "Round The Twist"? Not sure if it was shown over in the states but it was an after school staple here in the UK. Really it was more just quirky and surreal than a horror show but some of the episodes were just totally weird and creepy. I remember one about a haunted public toilet that really freaked me out.
