The Poltergeist remake is the worst type of remake. It's not good, it's not actually bad, it's just instantly forgettable. I saw it in the theater and up until you posted this episode, I had forgotten that it was even a thing.
ReplyDeleteThe timing of the remake also seemed a bit off due to the fact that the Insidious films are so close in feel to Poltergeist. Unlike the remake, Insidious handled things differently from the first Poltergeist to make it far more memorable than the remake.
On the plus side, the Poltergeist sequels are so awful that the remake is likely the second best in the series.
