The horror/thriller divide!
ReplyDeleteIf there was ever a greater need for Jay of the Dead's opinion on Thriller vs Horror, Gregamortis, can't think of it now. Jay is totally the strict genre classification policeman. I bet he's got some real ideas to say about it now! And I know I will disagree with him (all in good fun, Jay).
haha, I wish he would have had time to chime in on this but I will make sure to get his thoughts and try to air it on next episode.

Hey Gregamortis, hypothetical Land of the Creeps topic: how many horror movie scenarios would be solved by just a basic .38 snubby in the pocket or the waistband?
ReplyDeleteI would say in the movies , especially slasher type films, guns would not typically help as the killer seems to usually lean toward the invincible type lol.

DeleteDr. Walking Dead here. Great show on religious horror, folks! I hadn't heard of any of your feature reviews, so I got a lot out of the cast. Not to be too predictable, but The Exorcist is certainly at the top of my list--that film is MESSED UP (and a little bit too close to my own belief system). My second pick--based on all the recommendations on the show--is definitely The Ritual, followed up by Midsommer. While Catholic horror packs a punch, it's all about pagan folk horror right now. Oh yeah--and The Wicker Man, but only the original. ;) Keep up the great work, and thanks for keeping horror alive!
