Gregamortis comes through with a classic Bigfoot movie pick! Wooo!
ReplyDeleteAlso notable in 1976 is 'The Secret of Bigfoot', a two part episode of The Six Million Dollar Man, the acting debut of Andre the Giant!
Some of the early concepts for the 1976 'King Kong' remake were to have Kong as a more humanoid, Bigfoot type monster rather than a giant gorilla. Rick Baker fought hard to keep Kong a gorilla, but he had to compromise.
I really enjoy the animal/nature attacks movies that start coming out now to cash in on 'Jaws': killer bees, killer bears, killer piranha, killer alligators--the '70s were great!
Hey Kaiju, You know I have to include a Bigfoot if there is one available for that year lol. Oh wow I didn't realize that was 1976. I am going to be going through that entire series on blu-ray really soon. Kong did look noticeably different in the movie. I do enjoy the 1976 version but wow does the effects not age well in some scenes. Yes the animal attack films are such comfort food for me. I love revisiting them from time to time. Thanks for listening my friend.
ReplyDeleteIt's Season 3, Episode 17 &18, Gregamortis. Andre is an awesome looking Bigfoot, and, being a pro wrestler and all, his fight choreography with Lee Majors is on point!
DeleteGregamortis, Bigfoot returns in later episodes of the series and crosses over with the Bionic Woman series. I need to revisit these episodes!
I will keep my eye out for those episodes. This will be lots of fun revisiting these shows.
DeleteDoes this mean Six Million Dollar Man might appear on MortisVision?
DeleteThat is very possible.
